Email received seeking information on old brick house on Hwy 36 south of Milano:
"I am trying to find out some information about the old rock house two miles south of Milano and the intersection of 26 and 344. I read that Jeanne Williams wrote an article about the house in 1981 in the Temple Daily Telegram. I would appreciate any information you could give me. I'm working on my Master's Project at the University of Houston Clear Lake. I saw the house driving to Killeen to see my son at Ft. Hood and was intrigued by it. I am writing a book of poems and photos of Texas called Slow Walking Texas. I would like to feature the old rock house in my book. Can you help me?

Information sought:
My name is Ross Smith and I am contacting you to see if any of your members might be able to help me. I was told I had an Indian ancestor named Bigfoot Ray who was shot and killed in a bar fight in Buckholts, Texas. I do not know exactly when this took place but it was probably in the 20s or 30s. There was a newspaper article written about Bigfoot Ray being killed but no one seems to know which paper it was in. I know this is not much information to go on but do any of your members remember reading about a Bigfoot Ray who was shot and killed in a bar fight in Buckholts in the 20s or 30s? He was supposed to have been buried in an Indian cemetery on the way to Gause, TX. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ross

I am curious if you know who Sheriff Carl Black's father and grandfather were. I am related to the Blacks and am curious if he was related to me.
