MEMORIAL STONES

The sidewalk of memorial stones located on the grounds of the Milam County Courthouse
will be opened for the addition of new stones, according to Geri Burnett (L) and Dee Dee
Green, co-chairs of the Milam County Historical Commission.
“The purchase of one of these stones is an excellent way to honor the memory of a loved
one,” said Burnett. “It is a very visible memorial because so many people go to the
Courthouse every day,” Green added.
Applications for a stone may be picked up at the office of County Judge or from any
member of the Milam County Historical Commission. Instructions for their completion and
return are on the applications.
Four sizes of stones are available,priced at $100, $250, $500 or $750.
