I am with Preserve Granbury and am researching a house that we recently purchased. The house is on a piece of land that originally belonged to the Milam County School District, but was sold to a Mr. Rogers in October of 1881. I was wondering if you might have any information on that land before the school district sold it. I will be in Austin for the Texas Preservation Summit next week, and thought a side trip might prove useful.
Kindest Regards,
Lloyd Dodd

I replied to Mr Rogers asking for any additional info they may have on the house.

Dear Jerry,
The abstract number is 348 according to the records I have.
The house is at 801 N. Lipan Dr., in what was the Barton addition on lot 56 of the subdivision of Milam County School Land. Later documents refer to it as lot 103.
We know that the address was Moore St in the middle of the 20th century, probably 212 W. Moore St.
I am still trying to find the abstract number, which I will pass on once I find it. Attached is a listing of the date of sales and the names of both parties.
The abstract number is 348 according to the records I have.
Thank you so much for your help.
Regards,
Lloyd Dodd
