Hello Jerry, this is a picture of my Great Grandfather, John J. McKinney on right, Alan Kirkland on left.
Picture was taken circa 1920 in Milam County. Perhaps you could spread it around with the hope that someone
will recognize them and wish to get in contact with me.

John J McKinney was born in Oklahoma but his mother Alvarena Adams was born in Milam County.
John was married to Annie Lori McMullen, who may have gone by her stepfather's last name of Morris growing
up. They both lived in Milam County for many years. Their children were Jewel, Connie, Pearl, June, Jimmy,
John and my Grandmother Beaulah Faye.
The towns most mentioned were Cameron and Rockdale.
Some research indicates a connection to Davalos.
Also in the course of her research, my niece corresponded with descendants of Alvarena Adams on line. They
indicated a connection to Salado. I am just one of what could easily be several hundred descendants of John
McKinney.
The Kirkland family, while not related, were very close to my Great Grandparents, according to my mother's
first cousin who knew them well and called them Uncle Alan and Aunt Maudie.
I would very much like to meet any of their descendants as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My maiden name is McKinney. I have not researched the Milam County McKinney connection thoroughly but I know
that I am related. What specifics are you interested in?
