Can you tell me if any heritage Association in Milam County supplies flags to be placed on the proper
days such as this Monday, Memorial Day. I know they do in Brazos County but do not know who to ask in
Milam County. My cousin and I are interested in doing this.

There was a time a number of years ago that the Chamber in Cameron made sure all the businesses had flags to
be placed out front on the sidewalk. I think that has fallen through the cracks but you might want to check
with the Chamber. The Museum has flags.

Thank you for your inquiry through the MCHC website. I cannot speak for all of Milam County but I can for
Rockdale.
The Rockdale Rotary Club is probably going to adopt a flag program for Rockdale as a Fundraiser for our
student scholarships. I will know for certain after board meetings this summer. Would you like for me to let
you know the decision after our meetings?

I am sorry. I misunderstood your question. I did not realize the flags were for graves. The local VFW post
has had a flag program for veterans’ graves in the past. I do not know if they will be continuing their flag
program. Their phone number is 512-446-2708 and the location for Post 6525 is 978 W. Hwy 79, Rockdale, TX
76567. They should be able to answer your questions regarding flags on the veterans’ graves.
